No more mowing around it
Ground below grade means you mow straight over the spot like the stump was never there.

That stump in the middle of the yard, or the one some other crew left behind — Elledge's grinds it down below grade so you can mow right over it and move on.
A leftover stump is more than an eyesore. It's something to mow around, a trip hazard, a spot for rot and pests, and a place where new shoots keep trying to grow back. Grinding it out solves all of that for good.
Whether it's fresh from a removal we did, or a stump another company left you stuck with, we grind it down below the surface, leave the chips to settle or haul them off, and give you back usable ground.
Pulling a stump tears up a big crater and the roots with it. Grinding turns the stump and the top of the root flare into mulch, right where it sits, with far less mess and no giant hole to fill.
Once it's ground out, the spot blends back into your yard. Reseed it, lay sod, plant something new, or just let the grass close back over it.

Grinding out the stump and flare keeps it from sending up new shoots season after season.
Add it to a tree removal and we leave the whole spot clean in one trip.
Below grade — typically several inches under the surface, deeper if you're planning to replant. Enough that it's out of sight and you can put grass or soil right back over it.
Your choice. A lot of folks have us rake the chips level into the hole since they make good mulch, but we can haul them off if you'd rather have it bare and ready to plant.
Absolutely. You don't have to have used us for the removal — point us at the stump and we'll grind it out.
